HZD is 10x better. HZD is awesome and plays great with mouse and keyboard on PC! Definitely very Zelda like, and it looks great! Horizon, incredible game, masterful storytelling imo. The new Assassin's creeds ( Odyssey in particular ) are much more RPG oriented than Horizon Zero Dawn. Odyssey and Valhalla fail miserably as Assassin's Creed games due to the RPG element. There's no doubt Ubisoft introduced it because games like Skyrim and Fallout make a ton of money (not to mention the possibility to ridiculously expand microtransactions), but multiple choices and endings have no place in the Assassin's Creed franchise Valhalla. Odyssey was a mess and tried to be Witcher 3. It learned nothing from the mistakes of Origins. Valhalla looks better, runs smoother, ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY LIKE AN ASSASSIN and tries to merge the best of an open world with classic AC elements. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Story Ubisoft announced the latest addition to the Assassin’s Creed series at last year’s annual E3 conference. Set in the year 431 BC, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey takes place 400 years before its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, during the middle of the Origins vs Odyssey Combat and Difficulty. Prior to the soft reboot of Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed had only contained a paired animation system for combat, creating stylish looking combat that was often based on parrying and combos. Origins became the first to create hitbox based combat and using a system similar to the "The game is lovely, everything about it, the way the world is built is just so good and aesthetic,ā€ they continued. ā€œThis might be an unpopular opinion but somehow I ended up liking it even more than Odyssey, the story was so much better and so was the main character, the world is so rich and detailed, and it doesn’t feel as bloated as Odyssey felt sometimes." But I think Valhalla is excellent, mechanically i think it is the definitive version of these 3 RPG Assassin’s Creed. It pays an excellent tribute to Norse Mythology and Viking Life AND actually incorporates Assassins (Hidden Ones) unlike its Greek Counterpart. I think if you enjoyed Origins there’s a lot here that you will love in Valhalla. The reason you think that is because Odyssey came out after Origins and did use it as a baseline to improve on the new Assassins Creed RPG formula. So yes, in some aspects Odyssey had better mechanics than Origins. I personally like the setting and story of Origins more but I like the more involved systems of Odyssey more. gcSRrA.
